#005: earl’s court, SW5.

Louise Lisztman, Founder of Dead Sea Dream, shares her Earl's Court Postcode Diary recommendations with postcode pours.

Tucked between Kensington and Fulham, Earl’s Court is a lovely neighbourhood and buzzing travel hub with soul.

Where to grab coffee:

“Over Under, located right in front of Earl’s Court station, is a great place to grab a coffee on the go (and sometimes an avocado toast) before jumping on the tube. Also, Black Rabbit Café on Old Brompton Road has fantastic homemade sweet and savoury treats. Lastly, my favourite place is the North Lodge Café at the entrance of the Brompton Cemetery. I love grabbing a quick caffeine fix after a run in the cemetery: it sounds dark, but it’s a beautiful and peaceful place to jog in the morning before work (and I’m not the only one there!).”

Louise’s favourite place in town:

“One of my favourite spots in Earl’s Court is Evans & Peel Detective Agency, a one of a kind speakeasy, with great mise-en-scene at the door to bring you right back to the prohibition era. Otherwise, I love the Troubadour to meet new people over a drink and listen to live music. Finally, Addie’s Thai is my go-to for Sunday evening heart-warming authentic Thai cuisine.”

Earl’s Court’s best hidden gem:

“I am all about self-care, so I’d say Sabai Leela Day Spa, a Thai spa on Old Brompton Road. I go at least once a month for a 2-hour deep tissue massage and all my problems melt away with essential oils! The place is super cute and they have really great service and therapists, so I definitely recommend it.”
